Photo to video maker with music

Add your photos and a song, put the photos in order and pick the shape: 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9. The tool makes an MP4 in which every photo moves, with a crossfade or a cut between photos and the song fading out at the end. It runs in your browser, so the photos never leave your device.

Drop photos to make a video

Add up to 100 photos, and a song if you have one. Photos and the song stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How to make a video from photos and music

  1. Add your photos and a song

Drop your photos in the box above, or choose them. Add a song or another sound file with them, or later with Add a song. JPEG, PNG and WebP photos work in every browser. HEIC photos work in browsers that can open them, such as Safari.

  2. Put the photos in order

The video plays the photos from 1 to the last. Drag a photo to a new place, or move it with the arrows under it. Remove a photo with the cross.

  3. Pick the shape and the timing

Choose 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9. Pick how long each photo stays, from half a second to 5 seconds, or Fit the song to share the song's length between the photos. Choose Fill the frame or Show the whole photo, and a crossfade or a cut between photos.

  4. Make and download

Press Make the video. The tool draws every frame on your device and writes an MP4 with H.264 video and AAC sound. Play it to check it, then download it.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The tool reads the photos and the song and writes the video in your browser. Nothing is sent to Vidova or anywhere else until you choose to open the photos in the editor.

How do the photos move?

Each photo moves the whole time it is on screen, in one direction: a slow push in, a pan or a pull out, in that order through the video. The move starts and ends gently and never stops, so no photo is a still frame.

Will a landscape photo get black bars in a 9:16 video?

No. Fill the frame crops each photo around its middle to the shape of the video. Show the whole photo keeps all of it and fills the rest of the frame with a blurred copy of the same photo.

How long is each photo on screen?

You pick half a second, 1, 1.5, 2, 3 or 5 seconds a photo. Fit the song shares the song's length between the photos, from a third of a second up to 8 seconds a photo. A crossfade is centred on each cut, so no photo is on screen for less than a third of a second.

What happens to the song?

The song plays from its start and fades out over the last 2 seconds of the video, or over the last third of a video shorter than 6 seconds. When the song is shorter than the photos, the end of the video has no sound, and the tool tells you so before you make it. The sound is saved as AAC at 48 kHz in stereo.

Can I use iPhone HEIC photos?

Yes, in a browser that can open HEIC, such as Safari. When your browser cannot open a HEIC photo, the tool says so and leaves that photo out. Save it as a JPEG, or open the page in Safari, and add it again.

How many photos can I add?

Up to 100 photos of up to 40 MB and 50 megapixels each, and one sound file of up to 100 MB. The video is up to 3 minutes long. A photo with more megapixels takes more memory to read, so very large photos are left out.

What size is the video?

9:16 is 1080 × 1920, 1:1 is 1080 × 1080, 4:5 is 1080 × 1350 and 16:9 is 1920 × 1080, all at 30 fps. The file is an MP4 with H.264 video, which Instagram, TikTok and YouTube take.
