AI slow motion video

Pick half or quarter speed and drop a video. AI makes new frames between the real ones, so the slowed video stays smooth instead of stuttering. You download it as an MP4.

Drop a video

Up to 10 seconds without signing in: longer files are cut to their first 10 seconds on your device. Signed in, up to 10 minutes.

How to make a smooth slow motion video

  1. Pick the speed

Half speed makes the video twice as long. Quarter speed makes it four times as long.

  2. Add your video

Drop a video in the box above. Without signing in, Vidova slows the first 10 seconds.

  3. Wait for the frames

Frame interpolation makes new frames between each pair of real frames, so the slowed video plays at a full frame rate.

  4. Download or edit

Download the MP4, or open the video in the Vidova editor to slow only one moment, with a speed ramp into it and out of it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the slow motion tool free?

Yes. Without signing in you can slow the first 10 seconds of a video 2 times a day, and the video has the Vidova mark. With a Vidova account, a video can be up to 10 minutes long and uses the credits of your plan.

Why does slow motion look choppy without AI?

A video slowed to a quarter shows each real frame four times, so the motion jumps. AI frame interpolation makes the frames in between, so the motion stays smooth.

What happens to the sound?

The slowed video has no sound, because slowed speech and music sound wrong. In the editor you can put music or a sound effect under it.

Which videos work best?

Clear motion with little blur: a jump, a pour, a splash, a turn. Fast motion with heavy blur, or things that pass in front of each other, can show soft edges in the new frames.

Can I slow only one moment?

Yes, in the editor. Ask the agent to slow the moment you want, for example the jump at 4 seconds, and it ramps the speed down into it and up again after it.
