How to turn text into a voiceover
Write the text
Write the words exactly as they should be spoken, in any language. Without signing in, a text can have up to 1,000 characters.
Pick a voice
Choose one of 30 female and male voices. Each one has a character, such as firm, warm, upbeat or calm.
Say how to read it
Add a short note on the delivery if you want one, such as "warm and friendly" or "a calm, slow narrator". The note is never spoken.
Download or use it
Play the voiceover and download it. Or choose your video, and it opens in the Vidova editor with the voiceover on it.
Frequently asked questions
Is the text to speech tool free?
Yes. Without signing in you can make 5 voiceovers a day, each up to 1,000 characters. With a Vidova account, a text can have up to 5,000 characters and uses the credits of your plan: 1,000 characters use 7 credits.
Which languages can it read?
It reads the text in the language it is written in. Write the words in the language you want to hear.
How do I make it sound right?
Write numbers, names and short forms the way they are said. Use commas and full stops where the voice should pause. Then add a delivery note that says the mood and the pace.
Which file do I get?
One sound file with the whole voiceover. The download button shows its file type.
Can two voices talk to each other?
This tool reads with one voice. In the Vidova editor, the agent can make a dialogue with a voice for each speaker.
How do I put the voiceover on my video?
Choose Put it on your video and pick the video. It opens in a new Vidova project, and the Vidova agent puts the voiceover on it and cuts the video to it.
