Connecting your own agent

Both products run a hosted MCP server, so an outside agent can edit your projects. The setup differs. ChatCut ships an agent plugin for Claude Code Desktop and Codex, and its docs say not to install it from Claude's or ChatGPT's websites.

Vidova's server is at mcp.vidova.ai/mcp. You add it in Claude, Cursor, VS Code or Codex and sign in once. The agent can then open your projects, edit the timeline, generate media and preview frames.

Handing off to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve

ChatCut exports FCP7 XML, and its docs say captions, effects and transitions can be dropped on import. Vidova exports FCPXML for Premiere Pro and OTIO for DaVinci Resolve, both packaged with the source media, with an option to include captions. With either tool, check the imported timeline before you continue.
